Minutes for 10 July 2017

 

At 1700 Commander Fifarek conducted opening ceremonies and declared Post 146 regular monthly meeting convened

Commander announced there was no Executive Meeting for July

Roll call was taken, quorum was met.  Officers Absent: 0 // Officers Excused: 1 (B. Chernetski – work)

Minutes from June meeting were read and approved.

Financial Report was read was read and approved – (Pier/Herold mot/2nd) -  Motion passed

 

House:    

Bar rails fixed

Get bids on new floor covering (Carpet/skid resistant) for Front Dinning Room and Bar area. (Pier/Stegeman mot/2nd) Approved

Get bids on Attic Insulation (Nutter/Stegeman mot/2nd) Approved

 

Activities:            

Waterfront and Trout Derby sign-up sheets are on bulletin board.

 

Membership:     

2018 Dues start July 1st.  – pay as soon as you can.

 

Kitchen:               

Waiting to hear from Gary on broaster.

 

Club:                    

Will be applying for amendment to existing liquor license to legally drink on deck.                             

Requested motions from Exec Comm for (3) Liquor Licenses (1xBrown Trout, 2x Waterfront)

Riders:                 

Put 49 flags out on 4th of July

 

SAL:                      

Passed out flags during 4th of July parade.

 

Aux:                     

Pot Luck for Graduating seniors who are enlisting in Armed Forces went well – Great Support.

Asked about Emblems for side of Building – Commander said he would take for action.

 

Downtown:         No Report

 

Athletic:              

July 12th will be the M&M game.  Legion personnel will be manning the food booth.  Looking for volunteers.

July 15 & 16 Menominee will be hosting the League Championship

 

Correspondence:     Nothing of significance.

 

No Unfinished Business

 

New Business:   

Oct 7th we will be hosting the fall District, Zone and U.P. Legion Conference.

Check on tax form 990 – ensure we comply.  Financial Officer for action 

 

Gary Scholtz won the raffle (Hat)
